About Me

Martha

Currently studying for my Animal Behaviour (BSc) Degree, I have two previous years of working in rescue, where I specialised in volunteering with anxious or shut down dogs.

I have a certified Diploma Distinction in foundations of canine behaviour management (Compass Education), a Higher Distinction in Canine Nutrition (Oplex Careers) and completed courses in Building Your Dog’s Confidence (VSA) as well as attending many seminars and events over the years.

I have full insurance cover, and am currently working towards a certified canine first aid qualification, as well as over 9 years hands-on experience training and handling a variety of different breeds. Having built this business in lockdown, it has been a pleasure to work with local dogs and their families. I continue to specialise in dogs who may need a 1-2-1 approach, and am used to working with reactive canines.

I aim to provide flexible, high quality, relationship-focused care.

Walks

I specialise in handling reactive or nervous dogs, and typically provide solo walks. I focus on safely socialising an individual with its surrounding environment and providing enrichment along the way - taking everything at their pace & returning with a calm canine! Occasionally I will introduce dogs (carefully matched) if appropriate and may take them out with a buddy from time to time. The maximum number I will take in a group setting is three, as I believe in having full control of all in my care, and being able to keep my eye on everyone. Daily photos and updates will be provided.

£12/hour

Dog Care

Working around your schedule, I provide both half and full day care for your canines, having a free, pre-arranged meeting with you both beforehand to discuss usual routines.

  • A half day will include 1-2 walks, games and ensure company for your dog.

  • A full day will include 2-3 walks, games and of course company!

Updates and photos will be provided.

Half Day £25, Full Day £40

Holiday care

A calmer alternative to kennels, I will come and stay with your dog in their own home while you are away.

With new enrichment activities, games, walks in their favourite places and company around the clock, your dog will have their own holiday while being able to keep their normal routine.

Any training will be sure to be continued and daily updates and photos are sent your way. Each day will consist of 2-3 walks, 2 or more enrichment activities, on top of healthcare (any medication, grooming, teeth cleaning etc), cuddles and training/socialisation.

A free meeting before you depart will always be provided, in order to make your dog feel as comfortable as possible!

£50/per night

Puppy Training

Your new member of the family will be welcomed with a free hour consultation, in which I aim to gain an understanding about the future role the puppy may play in the family (so I can tailor my training plan to suit individuals).

Training is built around a partnership and understanding, both of which are crucial to start developing while the puppy is young.

Each hour will be with both you and the puppy as I teach how to shape new behaviours, introduce the puppy to new commands, and break each session up with play and any advice needed to set both you and your new family member up for success!

As well as training behaviours, we will investigate what it is your puppy is driven by, ensure future safety commands are taught and desensitise them to everyday noises and medical examinations.

I typically teach over a period of 6 weekly sessions, but will always tailor this to suit you and your dog best.

£15/half hour session

Nutrition Plan

After a short consultation, meeting you and your dog, I will provide new potential diet options for you. Each will be carefully researched, priced at different price points and will be available to get hold of by whichever means you prefer (online ordering/in store locally).

Passionate about canine nutrition, I have been feeding raw for over 6 years, but understand this isn’t available to everybody. Taking into account your personal preferences, I will tailor a nutrition plan to best suit you and your four-legged family member. Any supplements or additional dietary requirements will be taken into account or recommended based on the dog’s health and condition.

A complimentary pack of joint supplement treats will also be provided!
